I. Autoclave:

Moist heat sterilization using high-pressure steam is a commonly used sterilization method in biological experiments. It utilizes high pressure and the latent heat released by high-temperature steam to achieve sterilization, and is currently a reliable and effective sterilization method.

It is suitable for items that are resistant to high temperatures and high pressures and not sensitive to moisture, and is used for the sterilization of instruments, dressings, utensils, liquid medicines, culture media, and other such items.

II. Classification of autoclaves

1. Classification by volume and shape:

Desktop autoclave: Volume < 30 liters, with a barrel-shaped sterilization chamber, designed to be placed on a table;

Vertical Autoclave: Vertical structure with a top-opening door, volume ranging from 30 to 110 liters, and a barrel-shaped sterilization chamber;

Horizontal Autoclave: Horizontal structure with a side-opening door, available in different volume options such as below 100 liters and 100 liters to 2000 liters to meet various capacity requirements.

2. Classification by door-opening method:

Top-opening: Load and unload sterilized items from the top of the sterilizer;

Side-opening: Load and unload sterilized items from the side of the sterilizer;

Double-door: Load sterilized items from one end of the sterilizer, and unload them from the other end after the sterilization process is completed;

3. Classification by biosafety level:

For biosafety level 1 (BSL-1) laboratories: ordinary sterilizers

For biosafety level 2 (BSL-2) laboratories: ordinary sterilizers

For biosafety level 3 (BSL-3) laboratories: biosafety double-door sterilizers (dual-door sterilizers)

For biosafety level 4 (BSL-4) laboratories: biosafety double-door sterilizers (dual-door sterilizers)

4. Classification by user unit:

Medical sterilizers: Used in medical institutions such as hospitals, blood banks, and centers for disease control and prevention (CDC); require medical product registration certificates, disinfection product safety evaluation reports, etc.

Research and scientific applications:

Used in institutions such as universities, research institutes, and industrial facilities; require pressure vessel certificates.

As a sterilization device for laboratories, vertical autoclaves are a common choice across various industries. Today, the double-door 350-liter autoclave we would like to recommend is more suitable for laboratories that need to sterilize large quantities of items and handle items with requirements for precise control and complex technical specifications.

1. GWA350DQ-D double-door horizontal sterilizer

Its double-door, through-wall design door lock system is used to protect biosafety laboratories from external contamination and can isolate clean areas from non-clean areas.

2. Air filter

It is equipped with a German-manufactured air filter, which achieves a filtration efficiency of the 0.2μm level. External air can be filtered into clean gas before entering the interior of the chamber.

3. Optional back pressure system

This system ensures that no negative pressure is generated inside the chamber during the rapid cooling process after sterilization in liquid mode. Even when the volume of liquid items to be sterilized exceeds 80% of the chamber’s total capacity, no overflow of the sterilized liquid will occur during the sterilization process.

4. Rapid water cooling

Water cooling is provided to quickly lower the temperature of the chamber, making it particularly suitable for liquid sterilization.

5. Two applications: Vacuum sterilization / liquid sterilization

Traditional vacuum sterilizers: Only suitable for sterilizing solid instruments. Although they have a liquid program, the liquid sterilization efficiency is low. When fully loaded with liquid for a 20-minute sterilization cycle, the entire process takes more than 3 hours.

GWADQ sterilizers: Not only suitable for sterilizing solid instruments and vacuum drying, but also for sterilizing liquid substances. When fully loaded with liquid for a 20-minute sterilization cycle, the entire process takes no more than 60 minutes.

6. PLC industrial control system

It is equipped with a professional industrial control system featuring high stability. This system enables fully automatic dynamic control of the sterilization process and allows for convenient maintenance, query, calibration, recording, as well as expansion and upgrading.

7. Dual security protection: instrument key + startup password

This dual protection design facilitates unified management and complies with the safety management requirements for special equipment.
