Paper-plastic pouches are widely used in laboratories, pharmaceutical factories and clinical medical scenarios. Standard precautions and specifications shall be followed during application.

1. Overview of paper-plastic pouches

A paper-plastic pouch consists of medical dialysis paper and transparent composite film. During sterilization, the dialysis paper allows steam penetration to achieve thorough sterilization of internal items. After sterilization, the pouch provides effective bacterial isolation and reliable microbial barrier performance with excellent permeation resistance. The transparent plastic side enables clear visibility of internal contents, facilitating convenient storage and standardized management.

2. Standard usage techniques

1. Check the cleanliness and dryness of articles before packaging. Incomplete drying after cleaning may easily cause wet packs after sterilization.

2. Select pouches of appropriate specifications. The sealing width shall be no less than 6 mm, and a reserved margin of no less than 2.5 cm shall be maintained between the packaged items and the pouch edge.

3. Gently squeeze out residual air inside the pouch before sealing. Reducing internal cold air can effectively decrease condensed water generated during heating and lower the risk of wet packs.

4. For articles with concave surfaces, place the concave side toward the dialysis paper side to facilitate steam penetration and ensure qualified sterilization efficacy.

5. When sterilizing multiple pouches simultaneously, use partition racks or loading baskets for vertical placement. Reserve sufficient gaps between each pouch to ensure full penetration of sterilizing medium and improve drying efficiency after sterilization.

3. Expiry period of sterilized paper-plastic pouches

1. For pouches sterilized in accordance with standard procedures and stored in an environment with qualified temperature, humidity and cleanliness, the valid service period is 180 days.

2. Verify the expiry date before using sterilized paper-plastic pouches.
